If things do go as hoped for by people within the industry with regard to regulation, another thing that will be needed is for the financial institutions to open up to the changes quickly as well.

While the opening of these markets would be great for the industry, the effect of this could be dampened if the financial institutions do not open up quickly to make it easy and simple for both the consumer and the online casinos.

Ultimately these things do have a way of working themselves out over time but the short term gains that are hoped for in 2010 may not materialize to the largest possible degree if the financial institutions drag their feet with regard to keeping up with changing regulatory conditions.
